What Does Abdominal Pain Indicate As Per The Attached Reports?

Question: Hey doctor,

For the last couple of weeks, I have been having this heavy ache feeling in my upper abdomen just below my ribs, I have attached an image of where exactly. But it hurts quite a bit and it sometimes feels itchy inside my skin in that area not on the outside, if I wrong my hand along that spot as well I can feel pain kind of similar to a bruise from being hit. It feels worse if I eat as well it feels really full and heavy in that area and I have noticed a metallic taste in my mouth too. What exactly could this be and what can I try for the pain?

I have also noticed that my stools are a more pale yellow colour, but it's been like that for a while so I am unsure if that's related as I notice food pass through me quite quickly.

Brief Answer:
Ultrasound of the abdomen including liver, gall bladder, kidneys

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Does the pain relate with the food? means more before the food or after food?
I checked through the picture and you are pointing towards right side of the body where the liver, gall bladder and duodenum present.
THere could be some swelling or inflammation inside the organs or the layer covering called peritoneum.
I suggest an examination to find out what is wrong with the organs or the layer covering.
The other reason could be ribs themselves suffered a minor injury because of weights etc.
I suggest an examination coupled with Ultrasound of the abdomen to rule out serious reasons.

I think the image might have been flipped but it's definitely on my left side. I did an ultrasound of my entire abdomen about a month and half ago for the same issue that went away and came back a couple weeks ago and that came up with nothing I also had a gastrosopcy/colonoscopy 2 months ago too which was also normal. Is there anything else it could be or would it be worth doing the ultrasound again?

Could anxiety also cause these symptoms that I am having?

Brief Answer:
Anxiety has a major role

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

You had the best of the investigations to rule out any serious issue.
If all of them point that there is no ailment you should believe in them.
Yes, anxiety can be causing similar symptoms.
You do not have to repeat the Ultrasound unless you have new symptoms coming in.

Brief Answer:
Meditation and brisk exercise would definitely help

Detailed Answer:
Hi

While it is not easy to start meditation without training I think you can go in for a brisk and quick jog that would definitely ease the anxiety.
Sleeplessness increases anxiety so you should try to get some good sleep.
Positive thoughts talkative friends and movies all help ease.
