Question: Yes I opened a jar and my wrist hurt very badly but I can move it. About 10 minutes later my wrist bone is protruding about twice the size of my other wrist. I can move my wrist with just very little discomfort why is the wrist bone sticking out

Brief Answer:
Bone protrusion unlikely

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I've reviewed the attached picture,

I understand your concern. It does not look like a bone protrusion to me, and if you are not in pain, then it is even more unlikely.

It does look like a ganglion cyst, which is usually a cyst formed when a small amount of the joint fluid spills out due to a break in the joint tissue. This is common in light traumas of the wrist.

It should be soft to touch, rather than hard and it usually resolves itself over time.
If you start feeling pain and the area becomes hot and red in color, then I recommend you see a doctor.

I hope this helps. Let me know if you have any further questions.
Wishing you good health and all the best.

It is hard to touch just like a bone. But much larger before I did whatever it was and noticeable larger than my other wrist bone . There is no change from 9 am this morning

Please see below

Detailed Answer:
I still think it is a synovial (ganglion cyst) and the absence of pain and change in skin color on the area confirm this.
If you are worried I recommend you have an x ray followed by an ultrasound of the wrist to rule out any other possible cause.

I hope this helps and that you are feeling better already.
Wishing you good health and all the best.
