    What does a BP reading of 113/65 indicate?

Question: y husband is 79 year old. He just passed out & is sweating His blood pressure is 113/65 with a pulse of 50. This very low for him. should I take him to the emergency room or call 911?

Dear sir, I have gone through your question and I understand your concerns but you should start emergency measures to elevate his blood pressure by making him lay supine on his back and elevate his legs above the level of his heart .. also you need to put his head to one side to avoid any aspiration . inspect his tongue to ensure it is not obstructing his airway and make sure he is breathing regularly . after doing that I would recommend that you take him to the hospital to take intravenous fluids to elevate and stabilize his blood pressure.
