Brief Answer:
The test results what you had done are 95-98% conclusive after one month.

Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXX,

Welcome to HCM.

First of all, you need not to worry at all as the chances of getting HIV infection from breast milk are very less and you had done protected intercourse.

Secondly, you had done both antigen and antibody detection tests for HIV along with HBsAg and VDRL/RPR after 15 days and one month post exposure and all of them are negative, so be relaxed as these tests are around 95-98% conclusive after one month.

Lastly, you can go for repeat testing after 3 months post exposure to be completely sure about your status.

Thank You

Dear Doctor,

Thanks for your feedback.

When I visited a doctor in a reputed hospital who is a Dermatologist on 29.6.2015 and on his advice I have done all these test (other than PCR Report which was referred by other doctor from other hospital earlier the same day), during his inspection he has tested Penis physically using medical gloves for about a mint. The very next day 30.6.2015 (ie., 29.6.2015 physical examination by the Doctor & 18 days after I intercourse ie., 12.6.2015) a pimple developed on the side outer skin part of my penis which was paining and pimple developed a bit big (not very big) and and now it has subsided and no pain and its curing now. I have not taken any medication for this. I’m not sure why this has happened, is this because of unhygienic or post effect of intercourse or due to the powder which was present in the medical gloves used by the Doctor during his inspection?

Can HIV virus is transmitted through the medical gloves, because I’m not sure whether the Doctors has used new or used gloves. How long can HIV virus will live outside human body (in particular medical gloves). I’m really sorry for this question as I’m doubting a Doctor. I’m very scared and terrified due to which the other doubtful questions are raising in my mind.

I've also attached the photo of pimple which is taken now for your reference.

fyi, I don't have any other HIV symptoms.

Please let me know your valuable feedback.

Thank you.

Brief Answer:
The survival of HIV virus outside the human body is very less within hours.

Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXX,

The survival of HIV virus outside the human body is very difficult and it will die within hours only so you need not to worry much regarding that. Also the risk of transmission of HIV virus through the medical gloves is very remote.

As far as the pimple on outer side of skin of penis is concerned it might be due to some other infection and it had subsided also so be relaxed and don't be so scared or terrified. Wishing you happy and healthy life ahead.

Dear Doctor,

I have one last question.

The report that I have received on 29.6.2015, it is mentioned as HIV I & II ELISA 4th Generation EIA test and in the other report which I have received on 13.7.2015 it is mentioned only as HIV I & II ELISA. Both the test are done in the same hospital for which I have paid the same fees. I'm remember that doctor has said they do only HIV 4th generation test and I have assumed the latest report is also the 4th generation test report.

My question is whether the test I took HIV I & II ELISA on 13.7.2015 also detect the antigen? Because In the report they have not mentioned elaborately like 4th generation etc., like in the report on 29.6.2015.

Please let me know.

Thank you.
I mean, suppose if the report on 13.7.2015 is not 4th Generation test and if it's only HIV 1 & 2 ELISA, still it detect p24 antigen?
Please can you please let me know.
Thank you.

Brief Answer:
If it is only HIV 1 & 2 ELISA then it will detect only antibody not antigen

Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXX,

As seen from your report on 13th July, they had done only HIV 1 & 2 ELISA which is for the detection of antibody not for p24 antigen and they had not mentioned the report for the same also.

Thank You
