Question: Could you please explain what my heart problems mighr be in simple terms?
BSA: 2.3 m2

Interpretation Summary
Technically difficult study with limited diagnostic information.
Normal left ventricular size.
Mild concentric left ventricular hypertrophy.
Moderately decreased left ventricular ejection fraction.
Paradoxical septal motion c/w abnormal conduction.
Other walls are moderately hypokinetic.
Normal right ventricular size.
Probably normal right ventricular function.
Mild left atrial dilatation.

Findings

Procedure Quality: Technically difficult study with limited diagnostic
information.

Left Atrium: Mild left atrial dilatation.

Left Ventricle: Normal left ventricular size. Mild concentric left
ventricular hypertrophy. Paradoxical septal motion c/w abnormal conduction.
Other walls are moderately hypokinetic. Moderately decreased left ventricular
ejection fraction. Left ventricular ejection fraction cannot be accurately
assessed due to technical difficulties.

Right Atrium: Normal right atrial size.

Right Ventricle: Normal right ventricular size. Probably normal right
ventricular function.

Aortic Valve: Normal aortic valve. No evidence of aortic valve regurgitation.

Mitral Valve: Normal mitral valve. Minimal mitral valve regurgitation.

Tricuspid Valve: Normal tricuspid valve. Minimal tricuspid valve
regurgitation.

Pulmonic Valve: Normal pulmonic valve. No evidence of pulmonic valve
regurgitation.

Arteries: Normal sized aortic root.

Pericardium/Pleura: No pericardial effusion.

Hemodynamics: The patient was in sinus rhythm during this exam. Fused mitral
diastolic E- and A- waves precludes assessment of LA pressure. Estimated right
atrial pressure is Normal (0-5 mmHg). Insufficient tricuspid regurgitation to
quantify pulmonary artery pressure.

2D/MMode Measurements and Calculations

Brief Answer:
Heart Function is reduced

Detailed Answer:
Hello Ma'am

After going through the ECHOCARDIOGRAPHY report details provided by you I would like to simply this report to you in simple terms.

The main conclusion of the report is that

1. Due to some techical difficulties (which they have not mentioned here) may be inadequate echo windows as is common in some patients, they were not able to accurately assess the cardiac function.

2. According to the report some portions of the heart are not contracting adequately and some portion has abnormal movement probably due to some disturbance in heart electrical system.

Now as the heart is not pumping adequately the risk in doing surgery for any problem increases as heart is weak that's why they denied your kidney surgery.

It's advisable that you should get a repeat Echocardiography done from some another center for cross evaluation.

I hope this information will answer your query.

Kind Regards
Dr Bhanu partap
