What Do The Following Blood Test Reports Indicate?

Question: Hello doctor,

My wife having CMV igg test = 74 positive and HSV(1&2) igg (serum/ELISA) =3.0 positive. igm all negative. whether it will affect become pregnant. if she become pregnent then any problem will occur baby because of this infection.

Hi,

Surely you can plan a pregnancy if you are geared up. You should not postpone it because of high IgG levels . Everyone would have acquired virus during childhood or teenage so the IgG levels are high. since IgM are negative you do not have active infection. Please do not worry about this test results.
