Question: A guy I am meeting has shown me his HIV report but it's in a format I've seen before. Could you interpret it for me. here are the details:
1) HIV-1, RNA, ULTRA PCR = <20.
2) HIV-1 RNA (log-10) log 10 = ,1.30.

Brief answer:

He has a low virologic level of HIV.

Detailed answer:

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

These results mean that he has a low virologic level of HIV and a good virologic response under the treatment of antiretroviral medications.

So, the possibility to transmit the HIV is very low.

Hope I have answered your query.

Take care
