What do small cluster of yellow spots near the vagina indicate?

Question: I have a very small cluster of about 3 yellow spots just near the entrance to my vagina. They're quite painful. About 6 months ago, I had a lesion down there. I was tested for herpes. The result came back negative but I was told that it was probably negative because I was taking acyclovir at the time. So I still don't know if I have it. I have had the occasional spot down there which I've had checked out, and was told it was due to shaving. The fact that these spots are slightly yellow and there's a cluster of 3 small ones makes me worry. What do you think this could be?

Brief Answer: examination of lesion required Detailed Answer: Hello mam, I would like to ask you - was the lesion you had 6 months back looked the same as are these spots? - what was the interval between shaving and appearance of spots? Till then in my opinion you probably have recurrent herpes infection because the shaving related lesions are usually not very painful and lesion occurring on same site after a certain interval is hallmark of herpes. Best diagnosis can be made by examination of lesion so either you can send me a photograph of the lesion or visit a gynecologist for the same. All the best.

The lesion I had 6 months ago didn't look the same, it was bigger. It wasn't at the same site as these spots. It was on the left labia. The spots I have now are about an inch or so away from the place I had the lesion 6 months ago. In total, the whole area covers about 3mm. I shave regularly, about 3/4 times per week. A spot usually occurs within a day of shaving if I've been a bit rougher than intended.

Brief Answer: not herpes. keep local hygiene. Detailed Answer: Hello dear, if the site of lesion is different this time then it can't be herpes which occurs at the same site everytime. In my opinion it is just a superficial skin infection which will regress eventually but for the time being keep the area clean and change your undergarments at regular intervals and avoid tight clothing. If in case it increases in size or number you should consult your gynecologist. if you do not have any clarifications, you can close the discussion and rate the answer. Wish you good health.
