What Do Red Bumps On Penis Indicate?

default
Posted on Mon, 1 Dec 2014
Question: I noticed a small cluster of red bumps on the shaft of my penis. They have been there about a week and appeared suddenly. I've had sexual contact but with condoms and with the same woman for the past year. There is no burning or itching or discharge. I was worried they were warts and used the at home freeze away about 3 days ago.

Brief Answer:
Possibility of Genital Molluscum contagiosum

Detailed Answer:
Hello. Thanks for writing to us at healthcaremagic

I am Dr. Kakkar. I have gone through your query and I have also seen the photograph.

I will keep a possibility of Genital Molluscum contagiosum.
Molluscum is caused by a virus called molluscum contagiosum virus (MCV). It is transmitted sexually.
The lesions present as dome shaped, pearly white, asymptomatic bumps on the genital skin and muucosa.
Treatment is by needle extraction, freezing, CO 2 laser vaporization, Cauterization.

I would suggest that you visit a specialist in your region for a confirmatory diagnosis as well as appropriate treatment.
