What Do My Stool Test Results Indicate?

Question: My son age 9 years with 19 kg weight is suffering with IBS and using medaspa tab twice a day. Now recently stool test has done and showing pus cells - nil and WBS is 2-3 and RBS is 0-1 and culture test showed mild E coil bacteria
Last few days he is having motion with gum and foul smell ( reduced from past after using medaspa), request to suggest that shall we give zenflox oz or not?

Hi...Thank you for consulting in Health Care magic.

It seems your kid is having viral diarrhoea. Once it starts it will take 5-7 days to completely get better.

Unless the kid's having low urine output or very dull or excessively sleepy or blood in motion or green bilious vomiting...you need not worry.

There is no need to use antibiotics like Zenflox unless there is blood in the motion. Antibiotics might worsen if unnecessarily used causing antibiotic associated diarrhoea.
