Brief Answer:
Continue the same medication . Ldl still is withen recommended Range

Detailed Answer:
Hello , I am Dr. Mody and I would be addressing your concern.
I went through all the attached reports and though there is a 25 % rise of Ldl according to you , two important facts .
In terms of absolute rise , it's still miniscule and all the three values are still comfortably under the best recommended range .
The laboratory doing the test are different and so direct correlation is not justified as there may be lack of standardisation between them .

So for present I would recommend continue with the lifestyle modification and storvas 40 mg .
Repeat The lipid profile after 3 months directly and if Ldl higher than 100 than consider shifting to Rosuvas 40 mg from storvas .

Increasing dose unnecessarily will increase the side effects which in this case is not justified.
Hoping I could help
Let me know if any clarification needed and I would be happy to help.

Is tonact 40 mg better than storvas 40 mg?
He is getting pain in the chest after car driving when there are more turns. Can it be a heart muscle pain or chest pain.If he takes ranozax for 3-4 days twice then it goes off but wanted to know which pain it is.
Does using pan-d and ranozax for 1 year or more term cause any side effects?
Can he under go endoscopy now or if not now, when can he take the test?
The blocks in LAD/LCX which have formed and opened through stents. Is it major block or can it be cured by medicines. If blocks in LAD/LCX are present is it better to go for stents or by pass.Which will have less impacts in future life?

Brief Answer:
Continue medicines and live an healthy life , nothing would happen to stent

Detailed Answer:
Hello .
1) Tonact and storvas both contain Atorvastatin , just differnt brands
2) lad / Lcx lesions , in properly selected cases angioplasty gives equivalent results as compared to bypass , as it's already done , thinking about the same is not worth . Do your doctor must have taken the best decision depending on the individual case and hence we should trust him . My commenting on the same without seeing the angiogram and clinical status is not justified .
3) If the pain occurs while he is exerting like walking or during emotional strain , it can be related to her otherwise just on driving is more likely non cardiac.
4) No side effect of pan d more than a year .
For ranolazine only significant side effect along with other medicine is gastrointestinal intolerance.
5 ) endoscopy for first 6 months should be avoided as some gastroenterologist would want to stop the blood thinners which is risky for the stents.
Also we will not recieve any additional information from the same as the treatment still remains pan d.
Let him live a natural and healthy life and things should be fine .
Let me know if any furthur information is needed.

Can my father take Omega 3 fatty acid capsules for controlling LDL and increasing HDL along with the statins. He is already taking evion 400 mg.Can he take this capsules daily what should be the dosage. Can my mother, myself and in-laws of age 55 and 47 can also take this capsules what should be the dosage for each.

I am also attaching the angiogram xerox for reference and the 2d echo which was done when he had attack(march) and now(June end). The doctor told that blood flow had increased comparatively but the lower section of the heart movement is relatively slow than the upper part.Is that any thing to worry. Are there any tablets to make the heart movement to be in sync and increase the blood flow. Can people crossing age 45 start taking deplatt/ecopsrin with out doctor consultation?

If its muscle pain can he take any tablets for muscle pain? How much time will it take for my father to recover completely to get rid off this muscle pains and live a normal life

Brief Answer:
Angioplasty was justified , all medications are proper and will be helpful

Detailed Answer:
Hello ,
1) Yes he van take omega 3 fatty acid capsule . Daily, dose will be 2 gm / day . However it's helps improving Hdl and decreasing triglycerides, it's less effective in decreasing Ldl.
Yes you and your mother can take it too .
Evion dose and regime is proper.
2) There are discrete lesions in both artery ( Lcx) not clear and angioplasty will give good results, for this bypass was not at all needed .
3) No taking depart after 45 years is not justified and can be harmful
4) There should be recovering of the hypo kinetic segment over time . You are already on the medications for the same and no extra medication is required.
5) Plain crocin can be taken for muscle pain only en required .

Can I know why Ranozax is used for? Does all the medicines mentioned have any effect on the kidneys? When will all the muscle pains go off.Should he take ranozax only when he has pain or should he take it daily.
doctor
Answered by Dr. Priyank Mody (42 hours later)
Brief Answer:
Ranolax had to be taken daily. No medication harms the kidney

Detailed Answer:
Hello Ranolazine is an anti anginal and improves micro vascular circulation without much change in pulse or blood pressure and hence relives heart ache .
In practice it's very commonly seen that a patient post angioplasty has an heightened sensitivity to even normal stimulates which they percieve as chest pain . It's because we are frightened . Helping him understand that it's nothing would help relieve the same .
Ranolazine has no instant effect it takes more than 2 hours for it to effectively act , so if his pain is relieved with it , it's non cardiac .
It has to be taken daily and your doctor will taper it off over time . It does not work on sos basis

There are no medicines which will harm his kidney in the prescription.
Wishing him good health.
He needs family support that everything is nomral with him rather than you adding to his anxiety.
Let me know if any furthur help is needed .
