Question: Hi Doc,
I took Siphene 100 mg from 9 - 13 July 14.
Today I went for scanning, and doctor gave the report as follows:
LO - 23x16(19.5mm)
18m, 19x12
RO 20x18, 16x22 (19mm)
EI - 8mm
Doc gave HCG 10000 injection also.
and asked to visit again after two days.
She said, 4 good sized folicles are there.
Is it a problem doctor?
Will there be pain during ovulation?
Is there any possiblity of ovulating more eggs together, and getting twins or more?
When is good date for intercourse.?
Doctor asked us to try all days in this week.
thank you XXXXXXX

Brief Answer:
NO PROBLEM, CHANCE OF MULTIPLE PREGNANCY, RELAX.

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for writing to us with your health concern.
Can you tell me when was your last menstrual period ?
As such, with 4 good follicles, chances of more than one follicle rupturing ( ovulating ) are high.
Ovulation is mildly painful, not such that you could not bear it, so do not worry.
Sometimes, if more than one follicle ruptures, excessive fluid collects in the pelvis, and it can get uncomfortable.
Painkillers mostly take care of it.
Yes, there is a chance of multiple pregnancy if more than one follicle ruptures.
After taking the HCG shot, you should remain sexually active for the next week , everyday or every alternate day.
That way chances of conception will be maximized.
First go for the scan after 2 days when you would know how many of the 4 follicles ruptured.
Then a fairly good idea would be had of what to expect.
Do not worry,as even in women who ovulate with more than 1 follicle, not 100 % of them have twins.
Just relax, do not stress out, as stress will impact this crucial time.
All the best
Please feel free to discuss anything further.
Wish you luck with this cycle.

Thank you doctor for the answers.
Regarding to your question about last menstruation:
4-6 July: brown spotting
7: slight red bleeding
8-12 July : good bleeding.
We visited doctor on 8th and took medicine saphine : 9 - 13 July.
Now we really have tension about getting a triling or more.
We love to have twins.
But more than that is riskier...

Brief Answer:
DO NOT WORRY UNNECESSARILY

Detailed Answer:
I think you are worrying too prematurely.
First, we do not know exactly how many follicles ruptured.
Secondly, triplets are very very rare.
Twins are more common, but then you are assuming that there is a 100 % guarantee that you will conceive in this cycle itself !
You are assuming too many things and worrying about many unnecessary ones.
The tension will negatively impact the results, so do not do that.
Please let me know how many follicles ruptured, before you know that, do not worry unnecessarily.
Twins and triplets are rare, and not every woman who conceives after clomiphene would have them.
Take care.

Brief Answer:
PROGESTERONE SUPPORTS THE PREGNANCY

Detailed Answer:
As such it is good because chances of pregnancy are high.
Since more than one egg has ruptured, chances of twins are also reasonably high.
But worrying about that now will affect your chances of conception, so relax, as I told you earlier.
Progesterone tablets are vital to support the growing pregnancy in case you conceive in this cycle.
So please take them, and do not stress out.
Take care.

Hi, I am taking Meprate 10 mg tablet, which my gynaec gave me for regularising my periods as I ad irregular periods and planning for pregnancy. I am taking this 10 tablets(1 on each day ) from 15th day of my cycle till my 25th day. My question is, i m getting periods after 4 to 6 days once i stop the Meprate tablets. But is it a period caused after my ovuluation or it is because i stopped the Progestrone tablet and my progestrone level is decreased after stopping the tablet. If that is the case how my ovuluation will be identified and will it really happen? And how can i plan my pregnancy in that case? Please reply.
