What Do Episodes Of Horizontal Rapid Eye Movement In A Toddler Indicate?
Question: my 16 month old toddler had two episodes of horizontal rapid eye movement while awake then went right to sleep. is this normal?

our pediatrican stated this is normal/not uncommon and to observe and report anything further. So would you consider this to be uncommon?

I agree seizures are uncommon. Also, even if this was seizure, the chance of recurrence is only 50%.
I would not find any fault with the Pediatrician's approach. However, as a Neurologist, I would prefer getting an EEG done, simply because it is safe and can give us valuable information.
