What Do Big Scaly Patches On The Forehead Indicate?

default
Posted on Thu, 27 Apr 2017
Question: I have had seborrheic dermatitis a lot of my life but now bumps and now scales have come down to my forehead and the bumps are spreading on my face. It worries me that this might be something more.
FYI--I have two big scaly patches on my forehead but the bumps are moving down around my eyes, nose, mouth, and chin. The bumps had been on my forehead for some time, but just in the last week or two have changed to the scaly patches.

Brief Answer:
Ketoconazole shampoo, tacrolimus ointment & cap itraconazole

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for being at HealthcareMagic
If I was your treating doctor I would recommend you to use a ketoconazole shampoo twice weekly and apply tacrolimus 0.1 percent ointment on the bumps and patches twice daily.
Also take antifungal like capsule itraconazole 100 mg twice daily for 2 weeks.
These are prescription drugs and you need to see the doctor in person to get them.
Regards
Dr Asmeet
