Brief Answer:
A difficult and gray area for direct response!

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you so much for this query.

I am so sorry to hear about this gall bladder disease, pancreatitis and hemodialysis. For true, this a complex medical combination and management would of course be very difficult. Decisions that would have otherwise been very straight forward become very difficult. I understand your frustration and no one in your shoes would pretend not to feel same.

What to eat and what not to eat remains a big question and there is no straight forward aswer to this. There are for sure food types that we can clearly say they are not good like fatty and fries but, this cannot be said for what is good for consumption. This is because different patients tolerate food types to varying extend and generalizing them would not be the best idea.

The general advice is that you should listen to your body. Each time you eat something new, you should be able to tell whether this is something that you would like to try next time or not. If the answer is yes, then that food type has just made its way onto your list of what you can eat. Should you have a terrible reaction to it, then you would for sure not want to eat it in future.

Each patient has his or her personalized list and that is what I will advice you to do at this point. Keep a dietary registry and at the end of 2-4weeks, you would be able to have a good number of food items that are okay for you and those you would not dare to try out.

As regards the symptoms you had following the vomit and what your husband reported as blood, do not get bothered by it as you are feeling great after that. No one can tell whether that was blood or undigested food. Try and make an effort next time to know the content of your vomitus before flushing it down the drain.

In all, what to eat and not eat would be largely determined by you through a well kept dietary record. There is no other way this can be achieved as clients are very unique and respond differently to various food types.

I hope this helps. I wish you well and thank you so much for using our services. Feel free to ask for more information and clarifications if need be.

Brief Answer:
Have you been considered for kidney transplant?

Detailed Answer:
Thank you so much for this follow up information and updates.

I understand you and I share your pain when you recount your health struggles. This is not any easy task for a single person to be on dialysis for the past 13years. Have you ever been considered for kidney transplant? This is because dialysis is just a temporary measure and you would need it all your life while a transplant can be all that is needed for this poor kidney function. Ask your doctor about this.

Keep me updated as you go through the process of building a journal for your meals.

I wish you well!
