Should Vomiting, Fever, Alternating Chills And Hot Flashes, Extreme Fatigue, Severe Headache And Dizziness Be Cured Through Medication?
Question: I’ve been sick since Tuesday night. Started with vomiting fever with chills alternating with sweats, have extreme fatigue, bad headache and dizziness. Wasn’t able to keep anything down even my RX till Friday evening felt I was getting over this Saturday then this morning it’s back. Worried about vomiting my meds for seizure, high blood pressure and diabetes.
No new medication have been started recently.
How can i treat this and get well, I’ve been in bed now for 5 days?

it seems like a viral (probably) gastroenteritis which may occur from time to time during the summer. In such cases drugs like metoclopramide (should be branded as "Reglan" in your country according to the search I did on the FDA website) may help with vomiting. What's more important is that after 5 days of vomiting (what about diarrhea?) you may have been dehydrated. Patients with diabetes have to be very careful with dehydration for many reasons.
Another thing to consider is that although the gastroenteritis-scenario is the most likely, the cause is still not clear. Assessment by a doctor in person may help to exclude more serious causes like an acute abdomen. Also taking your drugs as scheduled is very important for seizure prevention.
So in conclusion, I believe that you should see your doctor as soon as possible. In the meantime make sure you increase your fluid intake to the point that your urine does not look too dense. Metoclopramide may help with the symptoms. Remember to consult your doctor before taking any medication!
