What Could Cause An Abrupt Elevation Of The Blood Pressure Level?

Posted on Wed, 22 Aug 2018
Question: On 2/1/2018 I was lying in bed playing solitaire and suddenly a wave of dizziness came over me. I got scared and set up and the room was spinning. I felt weak standing up, but I went and got my BP machine. My BP was 187/82 HR 80. I took Metoprolol 25mg right away and Losartan 100mg an hour later which brought BP down to 130/78. Pressure has been in this range. I felt woozy and foggy up until today. What was the possible cause of this episode?
