Question: Hello,

Im a 24 year old female, no drinking/smoking.

My symptoms are feelings of skipped beats right after exercise when my heart is slowing down during recovery. I feel hard thumps as it slows down almost like some skips before it gets into a normal pulse

I had a 24 hr holter that came back fine just had
30 pvcs
700 pacs

My echo came out fine.

I read that skipped beats after exercise indicates more chances of heart related death in a study, compared to skipped beats during exercise ..is this true? Is skipped beats after exercise an indication or danger?

Brief Answer:
Nothing to worry

Detailed Answer:
Hello

After going through the medical details provided by you I understand your concern and would like to tell you that taking into consideration your age, a normal echo study and your holter report there is nothing to worry.

Ectopic beats happen quiet commonly in young adults with exercise. Whenever an ectopic happens it is followed by a strong beat to compensate for that ectopic.

So don’t take stress and there is no danger to life.

I hope this information will answer your query and relieve your worries

Thank you so much! Very reassuring!!

However, my skipped beats seem to happen durimg recovery exactly after I stop exercising, not during...does this make a difference or is it common after exercise as well?

Brief Answer:
Hello Again

Detailed Answer:
When we start exercising our heart rate increase and when we stop it decreases so ectopic can happen at any time.

It’s normal don’t worry. And once again I wanna assure you that it’s not gonna harm you and when to try to overlook them they will stop happening frequently.

Try doing meditation it will help you reduce your stress anxiety levels
