Posted on Mon, 18 Sep 2017
Question: Doctor, since last 1 week my son's potty texture seems semi solid(not so hard not so liquid). He is 2 1/2 yeas old, and eating well. There is no change in his appetite. He is active no abnormalities, we fear his digestive system got some issue. Should we be worried or it is a normal case? Color of the potty yellowish

Brief Answer:
Observe the child, no need to worry

Detailed Answer:
Hello

Thanks for asking on this platform

I won't get overly worried if the stool is not watery and is not associated with vomiting, abdominal discomfort or any other significant problem.
Here I would suggest you to observe the pattern of stool and baby's general condition.
Continue feeding as usual.Avoid giving junk foods, carbonated soft drinks or frequent sweetened juices.
The stool pattern may vary depending on food items, digestive enzymes and digestion system of body. In most of the children the pattern gets normal within few days without any specific measures.
Please let me know if stool gets watery or there is any other significant symptom.

I hope this helps.
I shall be glad to help you out if you need any.
Regards
