What Causes Yellow Coloured Sputum?
Question: I am married aged 47 years (F) having one son 21 years,i have the following health problem pl advise
Every day Morning while having mouth wash i am getting yellow flume discharge from throat and rest of the day getting flume very often (white flume discharge from throat),added to that i am getting blur very often.Also at times having breathing troubles at night.Also i am having pain in all bones in my body.All physicians whom I have consulted saying that i have allergy and prescribed medicines,but no remedy inspite of taking medicines,Pl advise.

Breathing problems in the night and yellow coloured sputum in the whole day indicates an upper respiratory tract infection, if i were your treating physician i will generaly examine your lungs, throat and lymph nodes. if it is severe i will definately take an x-ray chest.and basic investigations like complete heamogram.
Depending of the severity of the infection you may need to take antibiotics, decongestants and anti-histamine medications. you may have to continue this medication for 5 days for complete relief. if it is not controlled by oral medications you may need intravenous medications for three days.
everything will be fine if you are diagosed correctly.so review with the blood test and x-ray diagnosis.
