What Causes Worms In Eyes And Intestines?

default
Posted on Tue, 1 Jul 2014
Question: Hi, I am a 59 year old black female who has been suffering from parasites, which seems to be systemic (for a lack of a better word),and also lives in McGaheysville, VA. I am feeling sharp jabbing pain and movement around my eyeballs and the surrounding areas above and under my eyes have expanded or swollen and getting worse by the day. I have literally seen and pulled something long and solid out of the inside pink areas of my eyes, and seen clear worm-like things move along the bottom lids. When I use the eye drop prescriptions, fluorometholone, I can see them better, and pull them out with cotton swabs. The opthamologists say that it is mucous, but mucous don't move and is not a solid mass. I have also gone to several doctors with these and intestinal parasitic/worms that I have seen with my own eyes in the toilet with these complaints. I have see, what look like veins on my eyeball increase in number and length and change form. Sometimes my vision becomes blurred. I have had my eyes thoroughly examined, had MRIs and CT scans of my head and face, as well as had stool species lab tests, in which I have pulled out long worm-like masses connected to my feces, seen small worms wiggling in the water, as well as white worms tangled in a ball of feces. But all the tests return as negative. I am still passing worms/parasites, and my eyes and face around my eyes are getting worse as if whatever it is is growing or expanding in volume, so I also feel movement in my eyelids, in my face and down into my chin and around. I am also feeling movement in my scalp, stomach, intestines, arms and legs including my toes. This is why I say that it is systemic, since my whole body is affected. I am told by some doctors that parasitic infection is unusual to uncommon in this country, and that treatment conventional treatment is illegal because it is dangerous. I have also been asked if I hallucinate or am depressed. I have been treated for fibromyalgia and anti-anxiety drugs. I have none of these problems. I began suffering with this for about 2 years now, but it has gotten to the point where I am awaken with pain in my eyes and body. I am not paranoid... I need help for a real physical ailment that I am trying to get treated by qualified doctors who do not dismiss this as physchotic, as some doctors have tried to convince me of.

Brief Answer:
Your case requires evaluation, consult Ophthalmolo

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thanks for posting query.

Your case is very interesting and rare among medical history. I think it requires evaluation of your case.

Intestinal worm infestation is common and you seem to be having this infection.
But your problem of having worms in eye is practically not possible. There might be having some other problem in your eyes like Glaucoma, thyroid problem, Peripheral neuritis, etc.

As other doctors think there might be having some psychological factor which gives paranoid thoughts, hallucination or illusions, it may be worthwhile to rule out the aforementioned eye problems through an ophthalmologist.

To Dr. XXXXXXX Vachharajani: I have seen 3 opthamologists in my area, including two in XXXXXXX XXXXXXX who cannot "see" my problem. Yes, I clearly understand that this is a problem that is "rare", especially in this country, however, it is a problem that I am suffering with daily, and it is has put a strain on my marriage, diminished my ability to sleep, as well as my vision. It seems that this is not a condition that many U.S. doctors are aware of. However, I have traveled to the tropics, such as, Jamaica four times in the last 5 years, and have been stung by a bug that flew into my shirt after which I was covered with bumps and welts. No fever, just very painful for a few days. In addition, I have visited Hawaii, and was bitten on my back while there, wherein the bump turned into a long line that reached around to my stomach. It cleared up by the time I left, and I had no adverse reactions. In the Bahamas, I was bitten twice in the head. Since then, I feel movement, pain, and bumps. One bump actually moved and it felt as if it was trying to pry through my scalp. The pain was so bad that I had to apply pressure with the butt of my brush and rub until it finally stopped. However, I still feel annoying movement and itching in various parts of my scalp at the site of the problem, so it is not a case of dandruff or dry scalp, including in my face, neck, and other areas of my body. As I describe these symptoms: eye problems as it relates to the eye socket around and under, the pain, movement, and the swelling; movement throughout my body under my skin, I am prescribed anti-anxiety or fibromyalgia medication, anti-inflammatory steroid and antihistamine eye drops, and ice packs, which I faithfully take. Yet they look at me through strange eyes. I have also been asked it I was depressed, hallucinate often, or do I feel like hurting myself or others, and have been "observed" in the hospital emergency room when I went there with such sharp pain, yet they saw nothing wrong with me, just involuntary eye movement. That was very hurtful, yet I understand that if it is not visible to the eye, or if this is not their expertise, how can it be diagnosed? However, I should say to my own defense, I suffer very much and it prevents me from going to sleep and wakes me up in the middle of the night, so sometimes I have to take an OTC sleeping medicine. I am very interested in meeting with you so that you can see first hand, at least, what is going on with my eyes. I would like to mention that I have looked into Ayurveda and Naturopathic treatments, and am incorporating into my diet such things as bitter XXXXXXX melon, garlic, ginger, turmeric, fenugreek seeds, and cloves (ground), wormwood, etc., as well as juice to address the intestinal parasites, and have daily passed an amazing load, which reduced the movement, pains, bloating, and size of my stomach greatly, including losing up to 10 pounds. Yet the problem still persists, because as I read, parasites tend to either migrate or multiply. With all of this said, I would love to meet with you. I live in near Harrisonburg, VA, which is only 45 minutes away from Charlottesville, VA. My email is YYYY@YYYY , and my cell is YYYY.Please call me when it is convenient for us to meet. I am greatly appreciative that you will take the time out of your visit. Looking forward to seeing you soon.
