Question: Hi Doctor!
I had taken Primolut- N (2 pills a day) for 5 days, then on fourth day had light bleeding for 3 days followed by spotting for 3 more days. Could this be sign of Pregnancy?

Brief Answer:
Not due to pregnancy.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for trusting us with your health concern.
The bleeding that you had after taking Primolut N is the withdrawal bleeding. It was light due to the hormonal imbalance caused by the I-pill that you took few days ago. Right now it is too early to get a positive pregnancy test even if you are pregnant.
It is best to wait till 20th December and then test the urine again for pregnancy.
Please feel free to discuss further. I will be glad to answer the follow up queries that you have.
Wishing you good health.
Regards.

Thank you Doctor!
I am sorry but I had made a mistake there in dates.
Had unprotected sex on 26th October (period was on 15th October), the same day (26th October) Ipill was consumed. Then had light bleeding on 4th and 5th November followed by spotting (brown discharge) for 10 days then again light bleeding on 14th and 15th November.

The Blood Test for Pregnancy was carried out on 17th November. Then had primolut-N from 24th November for 5 days post which had light bleeding for 4 days.So what's the situation now?

Brief Answer:
No pregnancy.

Detailed Answer:
Hello.
Thanks for writing again.
No pregnancy since the blood test is negative. Delayed periods and irregular spotting is due to excessive and irregular use of hormonal tablets. Just relax and let your periods come into place in next 1-2 months. Till then do not have any unprotected sex or use regular contraception like oral pills.
Hope my answer is helpful.
Do accept my answer in case there are no further queries.
