Hello.

Welcome to Healthcare Magic.

I read carefully your query.

It is difficult to give an opinion without a physical examination. It would be very helpful if you can send a picture of the back of your throat to evaluate it.
Do you have any symptoms like pain swallowing ,fever, enlarged tonsils ,secretions in the back of throat ?

Waiting for you answer.

Kind regards,
Dr.Rovena Murati

Hello again.

I am glad it was nothing. It doesn't seem that you have a medical condition affecting your throat.Try to relax and stop thinking or constantly checking for a disease.

Let me know if you have any other question.I would be happy to help.

Take care.

Hello.

Thank you for the picture.
Your throat looks normal .There is pathological finding in your throat. The mucosa is not inflamed.

It doesn't seem to be anything of concern but if you continue to have pain when swallowing saliva ,it would be a good idea to see a doctor for proper evaluation. He can examine your throat an see if there is something wrong there.

Take care.

Hello.

As I said ,the back part of your throat looks normal. It doesn't seem to be inflamed or sore. There are no lesions present there.

A tonsil is moderately larger ,but it doesn't cause any symptom.Considering the picture ,your throat looks normal but if you are having symptoms like pain when swallowing etc.

Take care.

Hello again.

I apologize for the delay in answering your follow up question.

I can give you an opinion based in the picture you provided and your symptoms.Considering this ,there is no obvious problem in the back of your throat but if you continue to have such symptoms (pain when swallowing ,secretions in throat etc) it would be a good idea to see a physician for proper evaluation.

I wish you all the best.

Take care.

My son has bipolar but is also being treated recently for OCD in which the meds are not working. He also suffer with high thyroid problems. I have not had his levels checked recently. He has all the symptoms of high thyroid problems. I was reading that it can also cause intrusive thoughts. Could this be the reason he is not responding to the OCD medicine?

Before my husband and I married he admitted that he had OCD. When he was young he had compulsions to complete acts or something bad would happen . Even now, when taking sips of water sometimes something doesn t feel right and he will have to repeat the act until it feels okay . He admitted to having unwanted sexual thoughts earlier in life. A few years before we met he was viewing porn regularly and started using prostitutes. He admitted to having cheated on me in order to have sex. We went to counseling and he is committed to the relationship, and states he has never turned back to old behavior. He made an agreement in front of the counselor that if he watches porn or has sex with a prostitue (or other) he must tell me within two hours. However, when we are in public he has a constant looking problem . It has disturbed me to the point that complete healing (from the cheating and other behaviors) can t take place. I am beside myself. I have told him I think it is related to the OCD, but he claims he is not even aware of it. Other times he says if he is diligent of being aware of looking in every moment he can control it, but any distraction will make him forget and go right back to it. It is sad to him because he feels that no matter how well he does there will always be something I am not happy with, and he really has worked hard to deal with his compulsions. The problem for me is that I have started to dread going places with him. We both like to go to the gym, and to travel, and I am losing my joy in doing so because of the constant, repeated glances at other women. I explained it might be normal to look at beautiful people, but many, continual glances are not normal (and not respectful to me). We are married now and many aspects of the marriage are quite wonderful, connecting, intimate and joyful. We both want this relationship to work. Any advice or insight would be greatly appreciated. mSo I have really bad OCD. It s mainly that I can not get used to change. I know I have a problem, but I really do not want to go to therapy. My mom has an issue with OCD as well, and this issue is that she MUST move furniture to a different place at least 2-3 times a month. Each time, it gets on my nerves so bad that I begin mumbling curse words and I hit pillows and feel infuriated, and I cringe and if I ever have an instance to where I have to walk through the specific area where the furniture was moved, I can not look at it. Typing this right now is making me want to break every piece of furniture moved. The one that got me most was the Key holder, which was moved to the opposite wall, and I just want to punch it off and break it. Nobody understands how much I am trying to hold in curse words and moving things. My solution is not talking to anyone and staying in my room for days until the next rearrangement. It takes me a good week or if I am lucky a couple of days to give it a chance, or to even look at it. The reason why I don t want therapy is because when this happens, I don t cry, I don t usually move things (although I have), I mainly throw a fit, and my mother, having OCD as well doesn t understand my problem and just calls me mental. She says I am mental and sometimes that I am psycho. She doesn t comfort me, or even suggests therapy in a right way. I have other forms of OCD as well, but this is my main problem. What do I do?

I had a hysterectomy almost 15 years ago. Shorthly after I began having extreme panic attacks leading to OCD I never had anxiety or ocd before, my life was normal. I have done hormone therapy, mental health therapy, exposure therapy etc. I have come a long, long way. However, I have never been the same and cannot seem to shake the ocd. Is there anything I can do that I have not tried...will I ever be me again?
