What Causes White Spots On The Neck Area?

Question: In the last month two white spots have appeared on my right neck and below my right hairline. They are a pale white and differ in size, one is irregular and about an inch long and half inch wide, the other is smaller and also longer than wider. They have not gone away or changed, although the larger one sometimes itches. What are they and what should I do? My email is YYYY@YYYY .

You are concerned about 2 white patches on your skin. They appeared about 1 month ago and may itch occasionally. This could be just depigmentation from vitiligo. This is very common and there is nothing you can do to change it or even stop the white patches from appearing. But they could also be early skin cancer. If you could up load a photo of the areas in question I maybe better able to diagnose the cause. If not then you should see your primary care or dermatologist for evaluation.
