What Causes White Coating On The Tongue And Stomach Pain?

Question: Hi we are on holidays in Bali. My daughter has a very sore stomach running nose (going on 3 weeks now for this) and her tongue very white/creamy film on it. Dr here gave her an anti-microbial will this help?

The white coating on the tongue is likely to be due to candidiasis which indicates a state of poor immunity. Application of candid (clotrimazole) mouth paint will help in relieving it. Giving her some microbial supplements or probiotics or simply curd/yogurt should help. Also give her some antiallergic like cetirizine to take care of her runny nose.

Give her steam inhalation along, if feasible.

In general, giving her colorful fruits and vegetables should help in boosting her immunity.
