Question: I took 500 mg twice a day for 7 days for a uti. Didn't work. Then 10 days. Didn't work. Then Keflex and doctor said no good. Now I'm on 10 days of macrobid 100 mg twice a day. Arms feel funny. They tested my blood and said it wasn't the antibiotics. Uti is s epidermis. Any opinions?

Brief Answer:
I will ask that we stop these antibiotics and do a urine culture!

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thanks so much for this query.

I am so sorry to hear about this persistent UTI that you have suffered. Until proven otherwise, these multiple antibiotics must have greatly contributed to this funny feeling of the arms that you have reported. I think these antibiotics are not well adapted and I will recommend that they should be completely stopped and a urine culture done. This will enable that we identify the exact germ and what antibiotic would work well. I will not support continued use of antibiotics without backing because the results have not been convincing. In addition, endeavor to drink much fluids.

I hope this guides and helps. I wish you well. Feel free to follow up with me for further clarifications if need be.

Brief Answer:
How are you feeling now?

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

How are you feeling today? With this normal, I will suspect that this feeling would subside sooner than later as to me it is more of a transient than real ongoing disease condition.

Le me hear from you!
