Question: HI... I had an abortion 3 months back and after that I have gained about 3 kilograms of weight. I am troubling now to loose my weight.. Is that normal? Any diet plan to loose my weight?

Weight gain can happen usually after a delivery and sometimes after an abortion. This is due to the hormone changes associated with the process. Also, the simultaneous administration of rest and good diet adds up some fat, more easily so due to the flabbiness of the abdominal muscles.

Your weight gain is very less and can be controlled with exercise. You can also manage your diet without cutting down on the nutrients much needed in this stage. Take more of protein diet, lessen fat intake and moderate carbohydrates. Use more of fruits and fresh vegetables. Take small portion of your meal at frequent intervals.

With this and as your hormonal milieu becomes normal, you will find yourself back to normal.
