Question: hi i am 7 days late for my periods, i am not sexually active. i did get into foreplay last month but that was on the 5th day of my period and i did not have sex. i am having excessive watery transparent vaginal discharge. can you please help me out with the cause and solution?

Thanks for the query. I have gone through the details you have given.

There are so many reasons of late period beside pregnancy. As you are NOT actively involved in sexual intercourse, possible chance of pregnancy has been ruled out.

Basic reasons are hormonal imbalance, Irregular eating habit, stress or anxiety (most common), Ovarian cyst, sudden change in body weight etc.

I suggest you to await another 3-4 days to get your period naturally. If you don't get your period within this time, I can recommend Norethisterone pill for 3-5 days to induce period. Maintain genital hygiene properly.
