What Causes Warts On The Abdomen?

default
Posted on Sat, 5 Aug 2017
Question: so I noticed the other day a weird flesh like growth on my arm it was a soft bump and scraped off easy, bled, and then scabbed. Today I noticed 3 more of them on my abdomen. it seemed odd so I looked online and I think it may be molloscum. can you take a look at the image and let me know what you think. I guess they could be warts also but the location seems weird. This is the side of my abdomen.

Brief Answer:
Seems to be seborrhoeic keratoses

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for being at HealthcareMagic,

I have gone through your complaints as well as reviewed the attached photograph.

They seem to be seborrhoeic keratoses which are benign growths of keratinocytes.
These are not looking like molluscum or warts.

They can be left as such or otherwise, you can consult a dermatologist and get them removed by electrocautery or radiofrequency ablation.

Feel free to ask further.

Regards
Dr Asmeet

ok, thanks. my biggest concern was that they were molloscum and I didn't want to spread them to my two toddlers.
