Question: Hi, I have been tested for TB back in 1984 w/a positive PPD. The raised bump measured 20mm. I worked in a Hospital for 18 years. during that time I saw a pulmonary doctor. He put me om INH, RIFAMPIN, VIT B-6. I could not take the meds because I was vomiting, so I stopped taking them. Now that I'm 54 yrs old I'm experiencing night sweats, loss of weight,( lost 55lbs in 5 years) some of it due to nerves. I can't differenciate if it's Menopause or TB or what. What other signs do I look for?

Brief Answer:
Do some tests

Detailed Answer:
Hello and thank you for asking in HCM

I have gone through your concern and i can understand your problem.

According to the history you explain now tou should look for some signs and simptoms foe excluding TB, as follows :

Chronic cough with or without sputum
Excessive tiredness
Sometimes chest pain
Weight loss
Subfebrile fever for a relatively long time

And better to do some tests:

Gamma Interferon
Chest X Ray
Examination of the sputum for AFB

If you do the above you can attach me results and i am here to help you again

Take care
