Question: I had a gran map seizure. Iowa exposed to gasoline fumes for 4hours. I had a dysphasia reaction reaction caused by a severe case of G.E.R.D. Which I have had for 2 years. can combination of the two conditions have caused my gran mal. My symptom reactions with my seizure were blue lips, eyes sunk into my head, vomiting, loss of consciousness, and breathing difficulty. Was this a reaction possibly to my severe G.E.R.D.. I also have of breath at times now. I'm now on anti-seizure meds. G.E.R.D.. Haven't seen a gastrologist, but am scheduled to see May 10. is there a cure for my condition?

Brief Answer:
EEG/Brain MRI

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for being on healthcaremagic.com.
I am Dr.Ajay Panwar,a neurologist, here to answer your query.

In case of a seizure, firstly MRI of Brain should be done to rule out any structural cause and blood tests to look for any metabolic abnormalities. Before considering, gasoline and GERD as a cause of seizure, all other possible causes should be ruled out.Gasoline as such, is not specified as a cause, however it can't be entirely denied that its continuous exposure can't result in such an episode.

Hope that helps. If you have any further questions,I shall be glad to have you in follow-up.

Regards
Dr.Ajay Panwar,
