Brief Answer:
Yes, protected from pregnancy

Detailed Answer:
Hi dear,
I have gone through your question and understand the concerns.
Period can be scanty and delayed after taking the morning after pill.
This is due to the hormonal effect of the pill.
If you have started the oral contraceptive pills from the first day of the cycle, and continue to take it consistently and regularly, then you are protected from pregnancy.
Hope you found the answer helpful.

The bleeding after the morning after pill is the withdrawal bleeding.
