Brief Answer:
Progesterone deficiency likely

Detailed Answer:
Hi dear,
I have gone through your question and understand your concerns.
Spotting in luteal phase is most likely due to decreased progesterone levels in this phase.
However, other causes like local lesions in the cervix and vagina should be ruled out by proper examination internally.
If no lesion is found, then you should be given progesterone supplementation in luteal phase.
That will stop the spotting and facilitate in conception also.
Hope you found the answer helpful.

Thanks doc, I have confirmed through sonography that there are no local lesions/cysts. But I have not taken any medication as my obgyn has prescribed bc pills as an option to regulate hormones and everyone in my family is paranoid abt bc pills and their side effects. are there any other ways/ is it ok to use bc pills for a month for hormone regulation?
How do i check for decreased progesterone levels? I got blood tests done just after my period last month and hormone levels were ok.

Thanks a lot for the support.

Brief Answer:
progesterone levels should be checked in second half

Detailed Answer:
Hi dear, you can use birth control pills for a month to regulate the periods.
No significant side effect occurs in one month.
Progesterone levels should be checked on day 20-21 of the cycle to check for the deficit in the luteal phase.
