What Causes Vaginal Spotting After Taking Microgynon?

Question: Hi, I had unprotected sex three times on the 21st of XXXXXXX 2015. The next day i took 4 pills in a row of the microgynon 30. 10 days later i had three days of very light spotting a few days before my period was due. Could this still mean i am pregnant? When my period was due I had nothing. I would now be 5 days late for my period.

I can understand your concerns,

Microgynon 30 is combined contraceptive pill.It is not emergency contraceptive pills.so it will not help in preventing pregnancy in emergency.

In your case,you had 4tablets of microgynon30.Most probably it did not help in preventing pregnancy.

I would suggest that you should go for urine pregnancy test as you have missed your period.Consult your gynecologist.

I took a urine pregnancy test yesterday and it was negative. Am i testing too soon? When would it be a good time to take another test?

As you took 4 tablets of Microgynon 30,It may cause delay in periods.so I will advise you to wait for 7-10days.

Repeat urine pregnancy test after7-10days,if you do not get periods.
