default
Posted on Tue, 17 Mar 2015
Question: My gf recently had a stye in eyelid and took antibiotics and almost at the same time she then developed a pain while having sex. She thought was a yeast infection but it doesn't seem to be going away with normal care? What could it be? The pain is at the entrance outside the vagina

Brief Answer:
Can be due to inflammation.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for trusting us with your health concern.
The pain that she has is not related to antibiotics that she has taken. She has already tried monistat. The pain can be related to a vaginal dryness or inflammation of the vaginal flaps due to aggressive sex. Local antiseptic ointment like neosporin and a mild pain killer can help her improve in next 5-7 days.
