Posted on Mon, 2 Jun 2014
Question: Hi we are 7-8 week pregnant. But my wife is bleeding sometimes and also tiny clots appears. There was a usg after 6 weeks, and the report was ok as asked by radiologist and our doctor. But tumi bleeding still continues, doctor advised her to take ecosprin 75/day, 5 nos lupi hcg injection ( already taken in two weeks time) and tab lupigest 2tabxday.... Doctor also advised to take decynene 500 in case of more bleeding, but we are too afraid to get medicine.
She is on bed rest and not attending office, But still she is not feeling comfortable. She is having some some stomach problem, gas formed and mild stomach pain also faced. Doctor told not to worry but we are very much afraid and confused. This is our first time.
We will be having 2nd usg in coming weekend.
Please advise further. Hope everything will be fine.
Thanking you,
Regards,

Brief Answer:
take same medicine and rest

Detailed Answer:
Hello Mr. Banergee, thanks for trusting health care magic.
What your wife is experiencing is due to implantation bleeding which can continue for another 3-4 weeks and will subside by itself.
It occurs because of the slow process of attachment of baby to uterus of mother.
The medicines given by doctor are appropriate and are harmless when taken in prescribed dosage.
Lupi HCG and lupigest are basically progesterone related hormones and helps in sustaining pregnancy.
Decynene is for stopping bleeding in case happens.
Ecosprin improves placental function and thus helps in proper growth of baby.
Take full rest, avoid constipation and intercourse at all times.
Gas formation is very common in pregnancy and simple measures like
- having small frequent meals
- avoiding caffeine
- and avoiding spicy and fried foods will be enough.
I hope I have answered your question but in case you have other questions you can contact me on health care magic.

Dear Dr. XXXXXXX

Thanks for your detailed answer.
I have further uploaded two reports.
Report 1 : dt 4th may : ( at 6 weeks)
Report 2 : dt 10th may. ( this was done at bleeding increases and we got afraid & gone through usg)

Can you please advise if these reports are ok with respect to lmp date of 16th march. Particularly growth and all and if any complication may appear ...

Also sincerely requesting your kind advise and suggestion for our understanding
My wife is working in an office, when she can resume office again ? I mean is it advisable now ?

If this belle ding don't stop after 2-3 weeks, what could be the precautionary measurement ? Is it harmful for the baby ?

Is there any natural way/ remedy to avoid bleeding ?

Can you please advise us the foods we should avoid this time ?

Believed we have asked lot many questions, would appreciate if you kindly advise us at your confidence.

Thanking you once again,
Kind regards,

Brief Answer:
healthy pregnancy, rest for 4 weeks

Detailed Answer:
Hello sir, i have seen your reports attached to follow up.
Both images are of same report, but the good point is the report is perfectly fine in all aspects viz -
- optimum growth,
- good heart rate
- good uterine receptivity as judged by good decidual reaction.
- yolk sac and fetal pole seen
- cervix is normal so no progress in direction of abortion.
So in short everything is in favour.
your wife needs proper rest for at 4 weeks till her placenta starts functioning after which this bleeding will most probably stop.
Till then
-take full bed rest,
-avoid straining at stools and
- avoid intercourse at all times.
She should take -
- lots of water
- green leafy vegetables
- nuts especially walnut and almonds
- milk and high protein diet
- fruits
Foods to be avoided are papaya and pineapple as both these interfere with functioning of placenta.
You are most welcome to ask further questions and don't hesitate to do the same, in case you want to directly contact me do it on health care magic. take care and all the best.
