What Causes Vaginal Bleeding After A Hysterectomy?

Question: my sister is almost 67, she had complete hysterectomy at 26. this morning she started bleeding from the vagina area and has been continual. Is having to use pads. Is this an emergency or can she go to doctor tomorrow.

The bleeding from vagina after hysterectomy can be due to a vaginal injury or due to dryness of vagina. Malignancy also needs to be ruled out. In case the bleeding is mild then she can wait till tomorrow. In case it is a heavy bleeding with clots then do attend an ER.
