What Causes Twitching Of Eyelids?

default
Posted on Mon, 6 Oct 2014
Question: Dear dr
Recently my left upper eyelid had been twitching constantly . Especially so when I blink my eye tightly. It will keep twitching constantly for some minutes and stop.

Second question:
I had never been able to perspire like most people. Even when I exercise, I never had a drip of sweat from my forehead! After walking under the hot sun , my friends are perspiring like crazy whereas I'm just " sticky" . However I still feel thirsty n drink lotsa water, I don't know where the water had gone too?? When I drink water I pee normal. But I understand that I'm perspiring less than most people.

I get "heaty" easily . Like after eating fried food KFC etc. I will feel "heaty " sore throat , thirst, general heat and I have to drink lotsa water to "neutralize" it. If not I will wake up with acne, fever or sore throat. Why are my sweat glands not active??

I know tat perspiring can help in "detoxing " and general circulation . Since I don't , what should I do? All the heat are trapped !!!

Brief Answer:
Both are normal no need to worry.

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Welcome to Health care magic

I am Dr. Dadapeer K, an ophthalmologist and I answer health problems related to eye.

I reviewed your history. Twitching of the eyelids is because of irritation of the nerves. It is usually asassociated with increased intake of caffeine containing drinks, deficiency of vitamins and other essential elements.
Twitching once in a while does not require any treatment and no need to worry about it. You can use vitamin B complex and reduce intake of caffeine containing drinks.

Regarding sweating it varies from person to person and decreased sweating is normal and will not cause any problem.
Heart sore throat after having fried foods is usually again because of vitamin B complex deficiency. This requires use of vitamin B complex rich foods and vitamin supplements.

Hope the information is helpful to you.
