Question: My right side eye is twitching same sude neck is paining and but ear pain n swollen cheek pls help me
doctor
Answered by Dr. Shanthi E (48 minutes later)
Brief Answer: multiple problems could be co-existing Detailed Answer: Hi XXXXXXX You seem to have multiple problems that may be related to each other. First, the eye twitching with same side neck pain, then the ear pain and swollen cheek. Do you have any problem within the mouth like a teeth problem or an abscess? In such cases, the pain is referred to ear and cheek. Or, it can be a mild facial palsy in the initial stages that is associated with twitching of the eyes and neck pain. Your symptoms do not point towards any one particular medical condition. It would be better if you get yourself examined by your primary care physician. A careful physical examination by your doctor can conclude on the cause and treat you accordingly. Please let me know if there is any other significant symptom along with this, and also about your age to help you better. Awaiting your response. Regards,

I hafd got oral trush 2 weeks before coz of i hd take abbocoliin tht is pencillin oral trush is almost gone and right side is swollen bit sore throat attxched are the pics
doctor
Answered by Dr. Shanthi E (57 minutes later)
Brief Answer: middle ear infection and/or sore throat Detailed Answer: Hi, Thanks for the details and the pictures. Yes, there is an obvious swelling on the right side of the face. It seems like it is due to middle ear infection or the sore throat. Since you have just completed the course of penicillin, there is no need to repeat the antibiotic now. I would suggest you to get your ear examined along with throat for a local infection that can be treated. Meanwhile, you can keep hot compresses locally on the right side of the face to reduce the swelling. Take simple anti-inflammatory medicines like Acetaminophen for faster recovery. If throat infection is detected, warm saline gargling with lukewarm water and salt will help. In your case, it would be ideal to be examined by a doctor and conclude on the diagnosis. Hope this helps you. Get well soon.

I have got Dull yellow patches on back throat above tonsils it is serious or due to cold. I am worried trush has gone but this thing not going and getting bit pain in right side cheek bone m so much worried
doctor
Answered by Dr. Shanthi E (4 hours later)
Brief Answer: re-evaluation is required Detailed Answer: Hi, The dull yellow patches could be due to bacterial infection. It is not serious though. It would be ideal to get a re-evaluation of your throat by an ENT surgeon, so that we can confirm on the cause and treat it accordingly. It is also possible that it can be recurrent thrush. Either ways, a direct examination of your throat would solve the problem. Hope this helps.

doctor
Answered by Dr. Shanthi E (14 hours later)
Brief Answer: seems like bacterial infection Detailed Answer: Hi, I have seen the uploaded images. The ones on the nose appear to be like folliculitis or bacterial skin infection. You can apply topical Soframycin ointment twice daily for a week for the same. The image of the throat, shows some stains in the roof along with a mild bacterial infection or pharygitis. Since you have taken a recent course of antibiotics, you need not repeat it again now. Take multivitamin supplements that are available over the counter like Zincovit or Becosules for about 3 weeks. The lesion in the throat would subside then. Also, consider doing hexidine mouth gargle thrice daily to prevent such infections. Please do not worry; this is not serious condition. Get well soon.
