Brief Answer:
Read below.

Detailed Answer:
I read your question carefully and I understand your concern.

Your description of tremor of the lower limbs which is improved by walking may be in the setting of what is called orthostatic tremor, otherwise called shaky legs syndrome, tremor when standing relieved by sitting or walking. It is more common in women after their 60s so it fits your profile.
Most of the times a cause for it can not be found. However in some cases it may be in the setting of other issues such as brainstem and little brain lesions or atrophy, Parkinson's, vitamin B1 and B12 deficiency, high thyroid function etc.
So for that reason, while not an emergency, a neurological visit for other neurological signs is necessary. Also some more tests are advised to be scheduled such as a brain MRI and an EMG (electromyography). If no lesions are found on MRI and EMG confirms it to be this kind of tremor than treatment is usually with Clonazepam or Gabapentin, if other causes like Parkinson's are found, will be treated accordingly.

Another cause may be arthritic issues which are also improved by walking, but usually there is also pain and stiffness of the joints accompanying the shakiness.

Magnesium deficiency usually produces twitching of small muscles rather than real tremor. If I have not understood you and such twitching is what you have then magnesium should be checked, but also a neurological exam is advisable anyway for other neurological signs.

I remain at your disposal for other questions.

Brief Answer:
AF unlikely.

Detailed Answer:
Thank you for the update.

My opinion remains more or less the same. I do not think the symptoms are very suggestive of atrial fibrillation. Atrial fibrillation (AF) can manifest in a variety of ways, from being asymptomatic to a severe presentation of cardiogenic shock. When there are symptoms though, they most commonly include palpitations, shortness of breath, fatigue, dizziness, chest pain etc. So not really suggestive in your case. Also in AF shouldn't be improving by walking, should be the same or worse.

I hope to have been of help.
