Nothing to worry, medicines will help..

Detailed Answer:
Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain it seems that you have a deeply decayed tooth and the infection has progressed below the root tips of the tooth leading to formation of a Dental Abscess..

There is Pus formation below the root tips of the tooth and at times the pus perforates the bone and get accumulated into soft tissues leading to swelling and the..

Numb feeling is due to inflammation and nerve compression with pus..
The anaesthetic injection that might have been given to you did not work due to pus accumulation that creates an acidic environment while anaesthetic solution acts in alkaline environment..

As you took tea and brandy for pain it is alright, but will suggest you not to take it or any other alcoholic product with medicines..

You need not to worry, continue taking Amoxicillin that is an antibiotic and will help in fighting infection..

Nolotil contain active ingredient Metamizole and it will help in reducing mild to moderate pain..
In case if pain is severe you can take higher painkiller like Ketorolac or TRAMADOL..

Once the pain and swelling reduces, you should go back to your dentist and get evaluated..
He can take an IOPAR ( X-ray) to rule out the exact condition of the tooth..

In case if it is in a condition to be saved, he can start a Root Canal treatment..

Any further questions are most welcome..

Brief Answer:
Needs evaluation by Neurologist as well as dental treatment..

Detailed Answer:
Hi..
Welcome Again..

If the lower lip and jaw is completely numb with no sensation you need to get a neurological evaluation done as most probable cause can be due to involvement of lingual nerve that supplies sensation to these areas..
Another thing is that as you have not been given any treatment of the infected or decayed tooth and only keeping on giving medication, still the cause could be related to dental pain?
I would like to know that what medications are you taking presently, kindly tell me the names of the same?
Another thing is that, did you take Tramadol or Ketorolac and if yes did you get any relief?
Is there any swelling present along with pain?
Any other symptoms if present, kindly brief them..
Did you get an x ray of the decayed tooth done?

Kindly revert back soon.

Thanks and regards.
