default
Posted on Wed, 26 Oct 2016
Question: I recently discovered, yesterday, that I experienced strong tingling sensations in all my fingers on both hands when I was washing them. It was a stronger sensation with warm/hot water than cold. It has continued today. I've never felt this before yesterday.

Brief Answer:
Possible peripheral neuropathy?

Detailed Answer:
Hello Sir

I can certainly understand your concern.

These symptoms could signify peripheral neuropathy.

It's important to screen yourself for blood levels of Thyroid hormones, Vitamin B12 and sugars.

Further management will depend on test results.

Meanwhile I prescribe oral pills of Methylcobalamin 1500 mcg one pill daily for 3 months. This is a neuroprotective agent which is known to improve your symptoms.

Please check with your physician if he shares my view and if can prescribe these pills to you.

Post your further questions if any.

Update me with the test results.
Thank you.
