What Causes Tingling Sensation And Tremors On Hands?
Question: Just the past 4 days or so one of my hands, my left one has tingling. It doesn't move up my arm. I have also had a small tremor in my right hand for the past year. My doc said I inherited it. My younger brother says he has always had a tremor. I take 15 mg of paxil and 150 mg of venlafaxine ER daily for the past 3-5 years for depression. Are my symptoms a side effect of either of the above?
Brief Answer:
Possibly a side effect
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on Health care magic.
Venlafaxine and paxil both can have a side effect of tremors as well as tingling. Whether you have a genetic predisposition is a different issue.

Thanks for writing back. Sorry for not being able to respond faster.
There are a number of antidepressants but for prescribing them your medical condition needs to be considered in detail. Incidentally that is beyond the scope of this discussion. You could ask your doctor to consider if fluoxetine would be right for you. Usually it is tolerated well.
