Brief Answer:
Please get three basic investigations

Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Thanks for your query, albeit short and specific.
Noted your symptoms of tingling pains that last very short and at left lower, right lower, upper left abdominal left upper and right upper abdomen and very well correspond with colon.
Also noted that your brother has diverticulitis and you too have all the 4 symptoms as listed on web med etc.
Yes, it is known that diverticulitis runs in families, but is also not an uncommon problem.
I can understand your anxiety, hence to confirm I would advise you the few basic investigations and get a confirmation or to rule out:
Stool tests
Colonoscopy
CT scan of the abdomen.
These investigations will either confirm or rule out whether you have diverticulitis or some other problem.
Your problem can just be colitis or if everything is normal it can be IBS too in a mild form.

I hope this answer helps you, please feel free to ask for further relevant queries if you feel that there is a gap of communication.
