Question: I had an ekg yesterday after feeling a tight chest pain and acid like stomach. it came back normal - much more likely it is acid reflux. today the doctor called and checked the ekg against one done 2 years prior to arm surgery and he said there were subtle changes. what does that mean? anxious

Brief Answer:
It's probably mean minor changes related to age

Detailed Answer:

It's a general term, but not any medical term. He probably meant by subtle are some minor changes which are usually age related like a change in the axis or minor conduction disturbances, nonspecific changes. Probably the changes are not significant, amounting to any ischaemic abnormalities.

However, you please upload the ECG here so that I can have a look and give a better opinion.

Hope I have answered your query.
