Get an ecg and other baseline investigations done. Stop drinking, smoking and using cocaine at the earliest.

Brief Answer:
it could be

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Sorry for my delayed response.

Yes, there could be serious underlying problem with the heart rate, probably an ischemia. It could also affect your lungs in the form of lung infections and chronic use can cause lung cancer. Cocaine can affect all the organs in the body. So, do take care and get the baseline investigations done.

Wish you good health.

Hi,

My symptoms began 2-3 weeks ago, I first thought I had the flu, I had nausea, diarrhea x 2days and weakness, no fever, no vomiting. I also had nervousness and was jittery inside. Went to the doctor and was told I have the stomach flu. I layed in bed for 5 days and could not eat. I was treated for dehydration in the hospital. I have had CBC, BMP, Sed rate, Bilirubin, CMP, urine tested and everything was within normal limits. Went to a different doctor for a second opinion and he thought it was mono. That turned out negative. I have been losing weight very rapidly. I have no appetite and am making myself eat to try and prevent losing more weight. I have been sick for two weeks and have lost 19 pounds during this time. The last 3 days I have had more energy and was actually able to work although I do not have an appetite and am still losing weight, sometimes I have chest tightness. Any idea what this could be? I am now waiting for the stool O&P and culture to come back. Could I have a parasite? Any ideas of what could be wrong with me?

Hi, I've been experiencing chest tightness for over a month. It is not constant, but periodic. I've been to my GP who listened to my chest and found no wheezing. She prescribed Advair 2x/day for a month and had me see her after 2 weeks of use. She said my lungs were clear but to finish the month on Advair so that we can 'stabalize" the tightness. I am in my 3rd week now and am currently experiencing the Same degree of tightness that caused me to go to her 3 weeks ago. The only things i've changed with my lifestyle in the past couple of months is going on the Pill for the first time in my life (starting in Feb.). I am now 35. And i've added daily fish oil capsules as a dietary supplement. Can any of these cause intermittent chest tightness or could it be more serious, like asthma, lung disease or even Cancer? (I have never smoked in my life but my father smoked in the house when i was growing up.)

My typical Heart rate was always around 60. I do run 2-3 times a week and am fit but all of a sudden 3 weeks ago after a run I felt tired and it has continued. My BP has been very low and heart rate in the 50s to 40s. No energy. Chest tightness and pain... especially when laying down as that is when my rates and pressure dip way low. This morning it was 69/54. I am scheduled for an echo and stress test but not for 2 weeks.... should I beg to be bumped up?
