default
Posted on Mon, 8 Jun 2015
Question: My throat hurts but I do not have a fever. I do find myself sneezing like crazy. Could it be allergies? I don't usually have an issue with them or could it be strep throat?

Brief Answer:
Could be viral upper respiratory infection.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Welcome to healthcare magic.
I had gone through your question.
I can understand your concern.
Your symptoms suggestive of upper respiratory infection could be viral.
I recommend the following.
1) Drink plenty of water.
2) Avoid refrigerated drinks and smoking as these might aggravate the condition.
3) Analgesic like tablet paracetamol for pain relief.
3) Antihistamine like levocetrizine with montelukast for sneezing control.

You will be fine.
Hope I have answered your question. If you have any questions, I am happy to help.
Wish you a good health and speedy recovery.
