Brief Answer:
How much protein was in urine?

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

I will like to review the entire report. This is just one element of the test result. Protein in urine is not totally uncommon. It only becomes an issue if the concentration is high. I will suggest that you upload the entire report for guidance.

Repeating the test is a standard procedure when in doubt if the observed proteins is real or could have happened by chance. There are many reasons why protein could be found in urine which is in way represent a problem ex: exercise, standing, etc.

hi - I don't have a copy of the report.

What about the WBC in the urine, is this uncommon?

Read online that both could be caused by medication, just wondered how common this is as my girlfriend regularly takes NSAIDS for her headaches.

Brief Answer:
The number really matters!

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

The concentration of WBC and proteins guides further interpretation. If they were in high numbers, this might suggest a urinary tract infection. In low numbers, this could be normal. This is why I think it is critical to see the result sheets for definitive guidance.

I hope you get the point. You may ask your doctor to forward the results to you for upload.

Let me hear back from you.

Brief Answer:
Sure it does!

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

I wish I could see the report. I will maintain it is probably incidental and repeating is the best step forward at this time. If you do get the results, share with me. In all, always keep me updated.

I wish her well and look forward to more exchanges when need arises.
