Brief Answer:
Probably acid reflux!

Detailed Answer:
HI and thank you so much for this query.

I am so sorry to hear about these symptoms that you have reported. I have reviewed your information fully and this is suggestive of acid reflux disease. Acid reflux occurs when acid leaves the stomach back into the esophagus causing burns, pains, acidic taste, sensation of a foreign body, etc.

I will recommend that you take omeprazole. It is advised to take a 20mg capsule once daily. This often provides a rapid and sustained relief. Only seek further care if this fails to resolve your symptoms.

I hope this helps. I wish you well. Thanks for using our services and feel free to ask for more information and clarifications if need be.

dr. ditah, can these symptoms be related to herpes. I kissed somebody and also started getting these symptoms two days after. burning mouth. no blisterd or sores outside my mouth. i see one white bump on my tongue ...its pretty tiny. I did not notice any bumps on her lips and the kiss wasn't for that long....could this be an exposure to hsv1?

Brief Answer:
THis is not suggestive of herpes!

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

These symptoms are not suggestive of herpes. Also, the lack of any visible sore during kissing means there was very little possibility to have be contaminated.

Let me know if this addresses your query fully. If there is need for more information, do well to ask me. Thanks
