What Causes Tenderness And Itching Around Penis After Circumcision?
Question: I am circumcised and recently developed a tenderness and itchy feeling around that area. The area is slightly puffy and very sensitive. I haven't put myself in a position to contract any STD's. I believe it's a reaction to new detergent. Is there anything over the counter that I can use to ease the tenderness and sometimes pain?

1) How many days have passed after surgery of circumcision ?
2) Have surgeon used absorbable suture material for surgery ?
Normally it take 2-3 weeks for complete healing so that one can resume his sexual activities .
You need to take broad spectrum antibiotic like Cefexine along with anti inflammatory drug like Diclofenac twice daily.along with topical antibiotic ointment like Neosporin twice daily.
Ensure to wash your genitals with warm water twice daily
Ensure to avoid sexual encounters till it heals up completely.

I was circumcised at birth. The area just below the head of my penis where i was circumcised has recently become inflamed. I'm looking for a recommendation for an over the counter medicine to help treat the area. Recommendations?
